The Tennessee Titans suffered a setback in the playoff race in week 15. Fortunately, they are hoping to finally have their solution to their kicking woes.

According to NFL agent Brett Tessler, the Titans have signed kicker Greg Joseph:

Just signed off on Greg Joseph's 3-year deal with the Tennessee Titans. Was signed off the Carolina Panthers practice squad yesterday and looks forward to kicking in Tennessee this weekend. Was 85% with the Cleveland Browns last season and has a very strong leg.

The kicking game has been a point of weakness in Tennessee since the start of the 2019 NFL season. It began with kicker Ryan Succop getting hurt in the offseason and beginning the year on injured reserve. As a result, this team has now cycled through three kickers before seemingly deciding to settle on Joseph.

Kicker Cairo Santos was the first replacement brought in for Succop. Unfortunately, Santos' abysmal 0-for-4 outing versus the Buffalo Bills in Week 5 spurred the Titans to look for other options and they ended up with former Chicago Bears kicker Cody Parkey. Parkey had actually done a solid job until the team opted to give Succop another chance coming off injury.

However, the move failed to pay any dividends for the field goal unit as Succop has hit only 1-of-6 attempts since coming back. Tennessee is now hoping that Joseph can end the year on a high note. He finished the 2018 campaign hitting 17-of-20 attempts while converting 25-of-29 PATs. It will be interesting to see how he fares in his debut versus the New Orleans Saints in Week 16.
