Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota may be having a so-so 2018 campaign under center, but that isn't stopping him from throwing fantastic blocks on opposing defenders.

Take Sunday's game against the New York Giants, for example, when Mariota sacrificed his body to lay some wood on linebacker Alec Ogletree.

Mariota is in his fourth season as Titans quarterback. Going into Sunday's action, he had thrown for 2,330 yards, 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions while completing 69.1 percent of his passes and registering a passer rating of 93.4 on the year.

The 25-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Oregon, was originally selected by Tennessee with the second overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft.

Mariota had a solid rookie campaign, finishing with 2,818 yards, 19 touchdowns and 10 picks and completing 62.2 percent of his passes with a passer rating of 91.5.

The following year, Mariota demonstrated why the Titans took him No. 2 overall, racking up 3,426 yards, 26 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

However, since then, Mariota has been pretty disappointing, battling injuries and inconsistency over the last two years.

In 2017, the Honolulu native totaled 3,232 yards, 13 touchdowns and 15 interceptions, compiling a passer rating of just 79.3. In spite of his struggles, the Titans made the postseason and even won a playoff game before being eliminated by the New England Patriots.

Entering Sunday, Tennessee held a record of 7-6 and was clinging to playoff hopes. Right now, the Baltimore Ravens, who are also 7-6, own the final Wild Card spot in the AFC by way of tiebreakers, so the Titans will need to win and get some help to get back to the postseason.
