The PGA Tour heads to Connecticut for the Travelers Championship. Check out our PGA Tour odds series as we hand out a Travelers Championship prediction and pick. We will also let you know how to watch the event.
We are fresh off the U.S. Open, and despite the tough course, it was an extremely entertaining Sunday. Bryson DeChambeau was able to comeback in the last few holes and beat Rory McIlroy. The PGA Tour and LIV Tour will once again go their separate ways as the PGA heads to TPC River Highlands.
Last year, Keegan Bradley was able to come away with the win as he shot 23-under par. This is a much easier course than Pinehurst No. 2, so expect the winner to be around that same score this season. TPC River Highlands features just 6,835 yards, and comes in at par-70. That is almost 1,000 yards shorter than Pinehurst No. 2. Golfers will need to be solid with their short irons more than anything this weekend if they want to come out on top.

Travelers Championship favorite picks
Scottie Scheffler: Every golf post will have Scottie Scheffler in the favorite section. He is the best golfer in the world, and it has shown on tour. Lately, he is not playing as well as he should be, but this course should get him back to normal. He leads the tour in strokes gained, and he has the highest birdie average. His irons are usually rock solid, so Scheffler just has to hit his putts. However, if he just plays like Scottie Scheffler, he will win.
Xander Schauffele: Schauffele won the PGA Championship, and he finished T7 at the U.S. Open. On the season as a whole, Schauffele has finished in the top-10 11 times. He is virtually a lock to finish in the top-10. Schauffele is showing no signs of slowing down his play, either. He hits his fairways and greens, nails his putts, and makes his birdies. Schauffele can easily give Scheffler a run for his money in this event.
Collin Morikawa: Morikawa is the world number seven, and fourth in the FedEx Cup standings. He is on a hot streak, but has not yet won this season. However, he is due for one with how well he has been playing. Morikawa will hit his fairways almost 90 percent of the time, and his putting is lights out. He has not played well at this course in the past, but watch out for him this week.
Travelers Championship sleeper picks
Tony Finau: Finau is the hot hand right now. He is coming off a T3 finish at the U.S. Open. He has also finished in the top-20 in four straight events. Along with that, Finau has only missed on cut this season. As mentioned earlier, golfers have to be good with their short irons in this event. Finau is third in strokes gained: approach to green. He is playing well right now, and I would not be surprised to see him at the top of the leaderboard at the Travelers Championship.
Sahith Theegala: Theegala finished second at the Travelers Championship a few years ago, so he has some success at the course. He is seventh in strokes gained, 20th in birdie average, and he nails his putts. Theegala also hits plenty of greens in regulation, so he will have plenty of opportunities to make some birdies. If he is at his best, I expect to see him at the top of the leaderboard.
Travelers Championship final prediction and pick
It is very easy to pick Scottie Scheffler to win a golf tournament. He is the best golfer in the world right now, but he is coming back down to earth a little bit lately. I full expect to see him in the top-5, but I do not think he will win this event. As for the winner, I will take Collin Morikawa to win it all. I love the way he has been playing lately, and I think he gets rewarded this weekend at the Travelers Championship.
Travelers Championship final prediction and pick: Collin Morikawa (+1200)
