As the highly-anticipated bout between heavyweight champions Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua continues to pick up (a lot of) steam, the pair have recently been engaged in a bit of a war of words.

Joshua labeled himself as “the boss” in a recent interview as he called on Fury's camp to ramp-up the fight negotiations. Fury caught wind of the comments and decided to fire back with a tirade of his own on social media.

In his recent tweet, Tyson Fury seemed to imply that it was actually Joshua's camp that was making the negotiations difficult, while also taking a jab at AJ's “boss” remark:

Earlier, Anthony Joshua made this claim about his incessant desire to get into the ring with fury:

“[The pandemic] is getting close to things being normal. We're working on a date for around June,” Joshua said, via James Dielhenn of sky sports.

“So if Tyson is serious, which I think he is, he'll know where to come and find the boss!

Joshua did not stop there. The current IBF, WBA, and WBO heavyweight champion then went on to express just how much he's looking forward to going toe-to-toe against Fury:

“I'm ready,” he added. “I'm really looking forward to competition – all I want to do is fight, fight, fight!”

“Any option. Home turf, Middle East, my back garden, your back garden. I don't mind where it is.

“I'm just ready to fight. I want that belt. I want to compete with Fury so all options are open to me.”

As it appears, though, Tyson Fury isn't buying any of Joshua's tough-guy talk. So much so, that Fury had to break a supposed 40-day hiatus from social media just to be able to respond to Joshua's claims.

This fight is going to be a monumental bout between two all-time greats. We can't wait.
