UFC President Dana White told Jim Rome that he and his entire family tested positive for COVID-19. White shared the news in the 200th episode of The Jim Rome Podcast.

White explained early in the podcast that it is a family tradition to go to visit extended family in Maine. “Somebody up there had it,”  White said. His immediate family, along with the family in Maine, all tested positive for the virus.

How did the UFC president find out he had it?

During his daily “cold plunge and steam” routine, he told Rome.

White sprayed eucalyptus in the steam, which is when he realized he “couldn't smell anything.”

The first thing the UFC president did was contact his friend, UFC commentator Joe Rogan for advice.

“Could not feel better, feel like a million bucks,” White said. He credited his quick COVID turnaround to the medicinal tips of Rogan. He tested positive for COVID-19 at the end of the summer and revealed the unproven medicine he used to get through his bout with the virus.

“Listen, you and I are very good friends. If you got COVID, I would urge you to do this,” White said to Rome, pleading the case of Rogan's COVID battle tactics.

He is quarantining with his immediate family and following the protocols. “I am going to do the exact protocol,” White said, anxious to attend Saturday night's UFC fight, Rob Font vs José Aldo. In order for White to attend the bantamweight event, he must test negative for COVID-19 twice in 24 hours.

The UFC president is also getting healthy for one of the biggest fights of the year later this month. Charles Oliveira will defend the lightweight title against opponent Dustin Poirier on December 11.
