UFC featherweight champion Alex Volkanovski has attracted a lot of attention from one person when he became champion. Henry Cejudo has spent months wanting to fight the Australian.

Alex Volkanovski always did his best to no-sell it and generally wasn't interested, leaving it up to the UFC. The fight is a strange one, especially with Henry Cejudo retired.

The UFC featherweight champion recently did an interview with John Hyun Ko of The AllStar where he addressed the Cejudo fight. The Australian is simply not interested.

“The UFC ain’t taking him serious. I guarantee the UFC aren’t paying him what he wants.”

“It’s a win-win situation for him if he goes to the featherweight division and fights me. He loses, does that look that bad on his end? Not really… But at the end of the day, people are gonna be it’s a featherweight beating a flyweight-bantamweight. That doesn’t help my legacy at all. His legacy, if he wins, that’s huge. If he loses, it doesn’t affect much because I feel like he’s expected to lose,” added Volkanovski.

Alex Volkanovski was very complimentary of Henry Cejudo's career but he doesn't want to entertain that kind of talk. He's looking to build his legacy and he has no interest in helping a flyweight's legacy.

Alex Volkanovski has answered questions about Henry Cejudo for a long time and it appears that he has officially put an end to the talks of fighting the former two-division champion. The UFC will have the power to decide what is next for both men.
