Amanda Ribas has had a mixed 2021. She started off the year with a loss to Marina Rodriguez by TKO in the second round. She followed that up with a decision victory over Virna Jandiroba at UFC 267.

The fight began with Jandiroba having success in the first round, largely winning the round on everyone's scorecards. Amanda Ribas took control in the second round and the fight was all hers from there.

The victory proved to be an important one for Amanda Ribas mentally. She had a lot of doubts and pressure heading into UFC 267.

“I think because (it’s been) almost one year since that fight,” Ribas said at a post-fight news conference (via MMA Fighting). “I’m stilling training and still doing my camp and everything. In the end of this fight, when the (referee) put my arms to the top, I think I felt the feeling in the end, this amazing feeling that I did the right job. Like I said, I put all my heart (into it). I showed how much I want to be there. For sure, the next fight I will be better.”

Amanda Ribas is hoping for a quick turnaround following the victory at UFC 267. 2021 still has two months left and she's hoping to be booked before the end of the year.

“Maybe in this year, I want to fight,” Ribas said. “I just did one fight and I wish I can fight until the end of this year, maybe (at) 125 or 115 I will fight.”

Amanda Ribas has competed at flyweight before with her victory over Paige VanZant coming at flyweight. She'll be hoping to end the year with another victory.
