WWE star Brock Lesnar has a long history in combat sports as he has competed in collegiate wrestling, mixed martial arts, and pro wrestling. He was a huge star with the UFC for years before retiring in 2011.
Many have wanted to see Brock Lesnar compete in the UFC despite his retirement in 2011. Some major health problems forced the WWE star to retire and go back to pro wrestling.
Brock Lesnar did make a comeback in 2016 to take on Mark Hunt at UFC 200. He won the fight with his wrestling and he was very dominant over Hunt. He would later go on to test positive for steroids and was banned by USADA.
He would continue to tease a return and almost came back a few years later to face Daniel Cormier for the UFC heavyweight championship. He stood in the cage and cut a promo as everything seemed in place for him to face Cormier.

Now it looks like Brock Lesnar is done with the UFC and done with the sport of MMA. He recently closed the door in an interview and he didn't hesitate to make his decision.
“That door is closed,” Lesnar told The New York Post. “You know what, Dana White, the Fertitta brothers [Lorenzo and Frank] were exceptional to me.”
The focus now is on pro wrestling and competing in the WWE. Competing in the UFC was a good experience for Brock Lesnar but he believes he's too old to make a return to the sport.
“I’m too old,” Lesnar said about fighting again. “That’s a young man’s sport, and that door is closed. I’m Brock Lesnar, the WWE Superstar.”
