Claudio Puelles is coming off of an impressive win over Chris Greutzmacher at UFC Vegas 44. That didn't stop Daniel Cormier from criticizing his ground game.
Claudio Puelles found the submission in the third round. The Peruvian fighter was able to get a kneebar, the second one in his UFC career.

I hadn’t been able to watch any tape until (Saturday). Right before coming to the Apex, I finally found a fight of him. I knew what he was going to do – I knew he was going to be in my face the whole fight.”
Claudio Puelles went into the fight hoping to come away with a finish. He has won his last two UFC fights by decision and he wanted to change things up in this fight.
“I wanted to get a finish. Of course, I’m trying to win the fight. But I didn’t want to win a decision – I was coming off two decision wins, which is not a bad thing. But I felt like I needed a finish, and that’s what I got tonight. I’m happy.
“Sometimes a fight doesn’t go like (you think) – you don’t get to show everything. I’m sure I could wrestle with some of Daniel Cormier’s students and they’ll see I’m good.”
The UFC lightweight made sure to jab Daniel Cormier with a remark on the wrestling front. He is confident in his abilities in the wrestling department.
