Derrick Lewis is known for being a fun fighter and posting crazy memes on his Instagram page. The ‘swang and bang' heavyweight is set to take on Tai Tuivasa at UFC 271 on the stacked Texas card.

As fun as Derrick Lewis is, there are some limits in terms of what he's willing to do. Drinking beer out of a shoe, shoeys as they're called in Australia, are a bit too far for the UFC heavyweight.

“Yeah, he’s good, man. I like him,” UFC heavyweight Lewis said in an interview with Fox Sports Australia. “I like Tai, and I really appreciate him knocking out Greg Hardy like he did the last fight. Greg was talking a lot of trash that week, so I appreciate it, but I just don’t like the beer-drinking out of the shoe and all that. What y’all do out there? I don’t like all that. That’s nasty. My feet smell cheesy. I just can’t imagine just another man’s sweat in – I don’t know.”

“I’m a big fan of Derrick, as well,” UFC fighter Tuivasa responded. “I think we’re kinda the same, you know what I mean? We go in there to bang on, and we’re usually the crowd favorites so shout out to Derrick.”

Shoeys are considered gross by many people but Tai Tuivasa has made it a big part of his fighting career in the UFC. Derrick Lewis is the only man that can try to prevent Tuivasa from drinking a beer out of a shoe at UFC 271 in Houston.
