Henry Cejudo has been very vocal since UFC 266. Alex Volkanovski beat Brian Ortega in a featherweight title fight and since then ‘CCC' has been trying to get that fight booked.
Henry Cejuod spoke to Marc Raimondi and the subject of Alex Volkanovski came up and he made his thoughts clear. He wants the fight and he believes it's a very difficult matchup.
“I ain’t no Georges St-Pierre where I’m gonna go in there, cherry-pick Michael Bisping, and then take off,” Cejudo said. “With me, I’m going up against probably the greatest featherweight in history. I either beat him or I get my ass beat. I’m taking that chance.”
Henry Cejudo is of course referencing when Georges St-Pierre came back in a one-off back in 2017 when he fought Michael Bisping for the middleweight title.

Many felt he came back because he felt the matchup against the aging Englishman was an easy one for him. After the fight, he would go back to retirement and today it is not expected that he will ever return.
Henry Cejudo feels it's different between him and Volkanovski because the Australian is a very difficult matchup for anyone. There is no ‘Cherry Picking' as he might be the greatest featherweight of all time.
It's an interesting call out from Henry Cejudo and one that certainly brings up a great point from the former two-division champion. Only time will tell if he'll actually come out of retirement and get the featherweight title fight against champion Alex Volkanovski.
