Henry Cejudo has been pushing for a fight with Alex Volkanovski for a long time. The UFC featherweight champion is starting to rack up quite the resume after his latest win.

Henry Cejudo was asked about Alex Volkanovski's legacy after UFC 273 and the former champion kept it real. The decision for many people is between Max Holloway, Jose Aldo, and Volkanovski.

“Yeah, yeah, he’s proven that (he’s the greatest). I would always kind of go (with Jose) Aldo but he’s beaten Aldo, he’s beaten (Max) Holloway twice, you know,” Cejudo said on the Triple C & The Schmo show. “He’s beaten The Korean Zombie, he’s beaten (Brian) Ortega, you know, yeah, he might be the best or he might be a win away from being better than Aldo.”

With all the respect Henry Cejudo has for Alex Volkanovski, he still wants to come band and test himself against the best. The opportunity to win a third UFC title is not one that he wants to pass up.

“I know if I can fight Alexander Volkanovski, I know that I can still beat him. It’s not about me killing him, it’s just about me beating him,” Cejudo said earlier in the show with The Schmo. “Outsmarting him, outwitting him. I still believe that I do have the ability, the speed, the wrestling, the IQ, the experience, the toughness, the grit to really challenge a man like that.”

It will have to be seen if the UFC has any interest in bringing back Henry Cejudo and having him fight Alex Volkanovski. The promotion was not thrilled with him after he retired suddenly a few years ago.
