Henry Cejudo has been teasing a comeback to the UFC for months. The former two-division champion was recently called out by Dominick Cruz following his win over Pedro Munhoz.
Following the win at UFC 269, Dominick Cruz spoke about what was next for him and he talked about Henry Cejudo. It's safe to say there's no love lost between the two.
“You know it pisses me off that it happened (the early stoppage by Keith Peterson), because Henry Cejudo retired (after). And so I can’t smash his face in with a rematch. But if the little dork decides to come back, I’m right here waiting for him.”
The rematch never really seemed likely but it was an option the UFC could go with. Dominick Cruz was very frustrated with the way things ended.

“Mr. King of the ‘Prelims,’ ya snooze, ya lose,” Cejudo wrote on Twitter. “You had your chance, and you bent those surgically-repaired knees. If I decide to come back, I’m fighting Alex Volkanovski first. Triple C ain’t fighting on no damn Prelims.”
The rematch never seemed likely but Henry Cejudo has officially ended any talk of the rematch happening. He currently has his heart set on a fight with UFC featherweight champion, Alex Volkanovski in an attempt to become the first triple division champion in the promotion.
