Jim Miller reminded another newcomer why he's considered a UFC legend, this past Saturday at UFC Vegas 48. Miller knocked out Nikolas Motta in the second round and became tied for most wins in the UFC with 23.

The career lightweight has no plans on retiring but is realistic about the fights he needs to take next. The UFC has plenty of veterans at lightweight and Jim Miller likes two matchups in particular.

“The four words that will mess anything up: ‘This, too, shall pass.’ The good times and the bad times, they’re going to go away at some point,” Miller told the media, including MMA Junkie, at UFC Vegas 48. “So I’m going to enjoy it, enjoy the night hobbling around the casinos with my team. I’m going to enjoy some time with my family when I get back. When my body’s ready, I’m going to get back in the gym and gear up for another one, and this will be in the past.

“You’ve got (Joe) Lauzon and (Donald) Cerrone fighting again, and I don’t know what their plans are after that. They’re both guys I’ve shared time in the octagon with. It’s like, I’ve got two (wins) against Joe – do you go and do it again? Fuck yeah, we do it again. I love that guy. If we could sell it and main event a small card because we’re two old guys that have been around for a while, then let’s do it and let’s get the main event bonus. And a guy like Cerrone, another one – I’ve got a ton of respect for him, and if he wants to do it, let’s do it,” the UFC lightweight finished.
