Tom Aspinall announced himself as a heavyweight contender in a big way at UFC London. The English heavyweight scored a huge submission over Alexander Volkov and put on a dominant showing.

There are talks of what's next for Tom Aspinall after UFC London and many have him at the top of their heavyweight contender list. A title shot could happen in the near future even though the division is looking a little murky.

Tom Aspinall was asked about a potential title shot in a recent interview. The UFC heavyweight surprisingly admitted he had no interest in that at the moment and wanted to focus on taking big fights next.

“I am not interested in a title shot right now,” Aspinall told SiriusXM's “Unlocking The Cage with Jimmy Smith.” “Not interested.”

He added: “I have more fights to win. I want everyone to be like, ‘This is the guy.' Not somebody pushing me forward with hype or anything like that. I want to earn my spot to get to the title shot.”

There are certainly some fun fights out there for Tom Aspinall next and that could include Tai Tuivasa or even Ciryl Gane. The Englishman called out Tuivasa after UFC London and it could be the fight to make next.

Tom Aspinall has plenty of potential in the UFC and many are excited to see how far he can take it if he keeps winning. A fight with Francis Ngannou can happen in the near future depending on how things shake out.
