Conor McGregor continues to feud against everybody, this time taking aim at UFC legend Daniel Cormier.
To recall, McGregor recently went below the belt when he referenced the passing of Khabib Nurmagomedov's father in a rebuttal against his rival. It was after Khabib congratulated Dustin Poirier for his victory over the Irishman in their UFC 264 fight, saying “good always defeats evil, very happy for Dustin Poirier.”
In response, McGregor fired back by saying “Covid is good and father is evil?” Khabib's dad and trainer, Abdulmanap, passed away in 2020 due to COVID-19 complication.
Conor McGregor is apparently referencing the fact that the beloved father of Khabib Nurmagomedov died from COVID.

While The Notorious has since deleted the tweet, it wasn't before people managed to get a screenshot of it and spread it online. Of course, it didn't sit well with a lot of people and UFC fans including to Daniel Cormier who called out McGregor for the disrespectful act.
In an interview with ESPN, Cormier said McGregor “crossed the line.” The 42-year-old also highlighted his belief that the Irishman's antics is a “call for help.”

“Absolutely crossed the line. I think when stuff like that is being said, it's a cry for help,” Cormier said, via Bleacher Report. “Conor has all the money in the world, he has all the fame, but now when you start to dig at that level, it's like somebody needs to get to McGregor and help him to start to kind of re-shift his mind and his focus and get him back to a better place. It's unfortunate.”
Upon seeing Cormier's comments, though, McGregor didn't hold back and ridiculed the former UFC heavyweight champion. In a tweet that has also since been deleted, McGregor called Cormier a “fat mess” (via BJPenn.com).
“DANIEL CORMIER IS A FAT MESS. GETTING INTO WORSE CONDITION BY THE DAY. GOD BLESS HIM. SHOWING UP DRUNK AT MEDIA EVENTS THE VERY DAY BEFORE HE WAS IN THE BOOTH CALLING MY FIGHT. DRUNK AT A MEDIA EVENT WORKING? THE DAY BEFORE BEING A COMMENTATOR ON THE BIGGEST FIGHT IN HISTORY?”
McGregor is currently recovering from his leg injury which required surgery. With that said, it sure looks like he has a lot of time in his hands picking fights outside the UFC Octagon.
