Only at 18 years old, but already with a wealth of experience playing professionally in Europe, the hype around Luka Doncic is rapidly growing. With his solid performances in the recently-concluded EuroBasket tournament, he has left NBA scouts intrigued even more by the prospect of his addition to their teams next year, as many believe he will declare for the draft by then.

While there is no doubt that he is a very talented player, there’s also a video making its rounds on the internet lately, where the Slovenian international can be seen playing in a league for boys. He was only 12 years old that time but already proved that he is a cut above the rest. Doncic played spectacularly in that game, posting a 54-point triple-double, which goes to show his all-around talent at a very young age.

Luka Doncic is currently playing for Real Madrid in the Spanish Liga ACB and Euroleague. He is gaining valuable experience there, and is getting the opportunity to compete against some of the best players in the continent. However, many think he is destined for more success, and is ready to play in the NBA. Standing at 6-foot-7, he can do a multitude of things on the court and his versatility makes scouts drool over his potential.

A lot of things could happen between now and next June’s draft, but if Doncic continues his strong showing in Europe, it can be expected that he will continue to generate plenty of interest from teams in the NBA. Should he ultimately decide to take his act to the United States, he would bolster an already deep pool of talent expected to be available in the lottery, and it won’t be surprising if he gets selected first overall.
