Vince Carter does not have the monopoly of old-man highlights today. Over in Minnesota, Timberwolves shooting guard Jamal Crawford teamed up with big man Gorgui Dieng to put Houston Rockets guard Gerald Green in a labyrinth.

Poor Gerald Green. He got victimized by two fakes in one play. First was Dieng’s fake pass that threw Green off, but what made him look more foolish was the Stefon Diggs-ish juke by the 37-year-old Crawford, who ended it all with a three-point bucket. Green was so lost on that play he might have wondered whether he was no longer in Minnesota anymore.

Jamal Crawford is playing in his 18th year in the NBA, but he seems to have plenty of tricks left in his bag that basketball fans have yet to see. As one of the craftiest ball-handlers and scorers in the history of the NBA, expect Crawford to make a lot more Gerald Greens out of unlucky defenders. So far this season, Crawford is averaging 9.9 points on 42.4 percent shooting from the field. He scored 11 points on 5-of-13 shooting with a rebound, a steal, and an assist against Houston, but the Rockets came out on top, 126-108.

Crawford, who agreed to a two-year $8.9 million deal with the Timberwolves last season, will look to add more to his montage of career highlights this Thursday at home against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Crawford has averaged 11.0 points on 47.1 field goal shooting percentage in the two meetings so far this season against the Lakers.
