Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen is unlikely to play in his team's Week 10 matchup with the Dallas Cowboys, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Thielen missed the first game of his NFL career due to a hamstring injury two weeks ago. He returned for the Vikings' bout with the Kansas City Chiefs this past Sunday, but left early after tweaking the injury.
Pelissero also notes that Minnesota has a bye in Week 12, so the Vikings could be playing it conservatively with Thielen until then.
Of course, should Thielen miss the Vikings' next two games, it would be a devastating blow to an offense that has been rolling in recent weeks.
While Minnesota did lose to Kansas City this past weekend, the Vikings had won four games in a row, largely due to the newfound strength of its aerial attack, an area in which the Vikes had struggled mightily over the first four weeks.
Thielen is obviously a big part of the Minnesota passing offense, as the wide out has logged 27 catches for 391 yards and six touchdowns this season.
The 29-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Minnesota State, went undrafted but eventually landed with the Vikings in 2014. After a slow first two years with the club, Thielen broke out in 2016, catching 69 passes for 967 yards and five scores.
He was even better in 2017 and 2018, making back-to-back Pro Bowl appearances. Most recently, he hauled in 113 receptions for 1,373 yards and nine touchdowns last year.
Minnesota is 6-3 on the season and sits one game behind the Green Bay Packers in the NFC North.
