Another legitimate wide receiver threat has emerged in the Gopher State. Minnesota Vikings rookie wideout Jordan Addison scored two touchdowns against the San Francisco 49ers on MNF. In doing so, Addison reached Randy Moss territory in Week 7, per ESPN Stats & Info.

The Vikings struck first against the 49ers on MNF. Minnesota quarterback Kirk Cousins connected with Jordan Addison on a 20-yard touchdown with 4:48 left in the first quarter. That touchdown gave the Vikings the early 7-0 lead.

The 49ers have been solid on both sides of the ball through the season's first five weeks. San Francisco running back Christian McCaffrey injured his oblique in the 49ers' 19-17 loss to the Cleveland Browns in Week 6. Losing McCaffrey would've been a big blow to the 49ers on MNF. Fortunately, he suited up and scored both of their touchdowns against Minnesota. McCaffrey promptly extended his touchdown streak to an NFL record 16 games on Monday.

However, the star of the night was the Vikings' Jordan Addison.

Addison caught his second touchdown of the game – a 60-yard bomb from Cousins – just before halftime. The touchdown gave the Vikings a 16-7 lead at the half. Minnesota would eventually hold off San Francisco to improve to 3-4 on the season. On the other hand, the 49ers lost for their second straight game to fall to 5-2.

The Vikings made Jordan Addison the 23rd overall selection of the 2023 NFL Draft out of USC football. Six touchdowns through his first seven NFL games is no mean feat. He's off to a rip-roaring start in his NFL career. Addison and Justin Jefferson make up one of the most exciting wide receiver duos in the NFL.

With the way things are going, it seems Jordan Addison could become one of the best wide receivers in Vikings franchise history along with Randy Moss, Cris  Carter, and Justin Jefferson.
