The Minnesota Vikings are making another quarterback change, as they will turn to rookie Jaren Hall to start this week against the Green Bay Packers, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Jaren Hall's first start for the Vikings against the Atlanta Falcons was cut short, and then Josh Dobbs claimed the starting role for a few weeks, before being benched for Nick Mullens. Now, Nick Mullens heads to the bench for Hall.

After Kirk Cousins tore his Achilles against the Green Bay Packers, Hall was the first quarterback that Kevin O'Connell turned to. He finished the game against the Packers, then started against the Falcons. That was when he got hurt, leading to Josh Dobbs coming into the game after just being traded to the team that week. Minnesota ended up winning the game 31-28.

Dobbs went on to play well for a few weeks, but eventually he started to play poorly, leading to Nick Mullens taking over.

The Vikings are currently 7-8 on the season, and are one game out of a playoff spot behind the 8-7 Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks. Minnesota will have to win the remaining two games against the Packers and Lions to have a chance to get in. It will be on a rookie quarterback in Hall to take them there.

It will be interesting to see whether or not Hall is able to get a win this weekend, and how he fares under center in general. Minnesota is expected by many to move on from Kirk Cousins this offseason, so it makes sense to figure out if Hall could be part of the long-term future now.
