The Golden State Warriors were one man down on Sunday night when they hosted the Houston Rockets. Veteran forward Andre Iguodala sat out the game due to a sore hip, marking the second time he's missed a contest this season.

The Warriors, however, didn't miss Iguodala that much as they steamrolled past the Rockets, 120-107, to improve to a league-leading 8-1 win-loss record.

But while the Warriors are playing great, the team would still need Iguodala in full health, especially with Klay Thomspon and James Wiseman still sidelined. The season will only get more difficult, and having a high IQ guy like Iggy Hop should only serve the team well.

Fortunately, Iguodala's hip injury isn't too serious, according to Warriors coach Steve Kerr, adding they're just erring on the side of caution (via ESPN).

“If he's banged up at all, back-to-back or we've got a string of games, we're going to try to find him some rest when we can. He said he's sore but shouldn't be anything long term.”

At 37 years old, Iguodala is definitely way past his prime. Getting as much rest as he can is imperative for the former NBA Finals MVP to remain productive. So far, he's been efficient in limited minutes off the bench.

The Warriors will host the Atlanta Hawks this Monday as they continue their eight-game homestand, and Iguodala is expected to suit up after sitting out against the Rockets.
