Bringing back Andre Iguodala, the 2015 NBA Finals MVP, has been a success in the 2021-22 season. His basketball brilliance has impacted the Golden State Warriors on and off the court. After reaching a new season-high 10 assists, Iguodala talked about how things are from his vantage point.

“I am just here, having fun. I really don’t have anything to lose. I enjoy being around the guys. I enjoy the atmosphere, playing for Steve (Kerr), everyone in the organization, so it is like Tiger’s quote, everything from here is gravy,” Iguodala told ClutchPoints.

The 37-year-old veteran has been a tone-setter. Whenever the Warriors are getting off track offensively or defensively, Coach Steve Kerr can insert Iguodala to get things back under control. Just like his quote, he's been the perfect addition to the team.

As the year continues and Klay Thompson and James Wiseman return, the Warriors will need his leadership more and more. Jordan Poole and Kevon Looney are likely to head to the bench, but they'll remain essential pieces to the puzzle.

When the roster is fully healthy, that means rotation changes. Players who are playing big minutes now might not play every night. That's the problem with a deep team. It doesn't mean you are not good, but you might not fit what the team is doing.

Part of Andre Iguodala's job will be keeping everyone locked in and focused on the main goal: winning. All able bodies need to be ready for whenever their number gets called. You can go from multiple DNP's to playing a ton of minutes in the biggest game of your life. But you have to stay ready, and Iguodala will make sure the Warriors players do.
