The Golden State Warriors are highly-motivated to reclaim their spot among the NBA's elite this upcoming 2020-21 season. The team is full of hungry players looking to prove doubters and naysayers wrong. One of them is former no. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins.

Wes Goldberg of ChicoER.com recently spoke to the athletic wing and Wiggins admitted that he had his sights set on becoming an All-Star with the Warriors.

“I want to be an All-Star,” Wiggins told me. “That’s always been a goal of mine is to be an All-Star, being on a winning team.”

That's certainly a lofty deal, considering there are a ton of elite wings and guards in the Western Conference.

Nonetheless, Warriors fans must love to hear this from the 25-year old. Wiggins seems extra motivated to put his critics in their place by putting together his best season yet. And of course, he'd like his play to have a positive impact by helping bring back Golden State's glory days.

Wiggins has heard all the noise about not living up to the billing of a top overall pick. Recent clips of him on social media have shown that he has been in the weight room this off-season and has been working on improving his game.

With All-Star guard Klay Thompson set to miss another season due to a torn Achilles, the Dubs certainly need the best version of Andrew Wiggins this upcoming campaign. That much is crucial if they want to contend for the 2021 NBA title. Aside from being an aspiring All-Star, the Canadian also recently laid out three aspects of his game that he wants to improve on: 3-point shooting, free throws, and defense.

If Wiggins shows marked improvement in those facets, the Dubs could very well go back to their winning ways in 2020-21. Heck, maybe he could even land an All-Star nod if he balls out of his mind. Stay woke, Wiggins doubters.
