The defending champion Golden State Warriors have hit a rare rough patch in the midst of their bid to become the first team to three-peat since the Los Angeles Lakers of the early 2000s. While the team is still atop the Western Conference and boasts an impressive 11-3 record, the drama has been brewing in the locker room between All-Stars Draymond Green and Kevin Durant.

The two got into it Monday night in the closing seconds of regulation against the L.A. Clippers, as Green snatched a defensive board away from Durant and instead of handing the ball back, sprinted to the basket and ended up getting the ball poked away as the buzzer expired.

Kevin Durant was visibly upset that he was robbed of a chance at a game-winner, and had words for Green as they huddled by the Warrior bench. DeMarcus Cousins was forced to calm Green down as he stalked back on to the floor for the overtime period.

After the loss, there were further shenanigans in the locker room, so much so that the Warriors elected to suspend Green for their game against the Atlanta Hawks Tuesday night.

Apparently, the two are still not on good terms. Warriors president of basketball operations Bob Myers had troubling news for Warriors fans, declaring that the two still have not talked since the brush-up.

While this is not the end of the world for the Warriors, it certainly is less than ideal for a team that needs to be completely cohesive for a chance to win another title.

Even more troubling for the Dubs is the fact that Durant can leave the team this summer, and altercations like this may stick in the memory of a player that is famously thin-skinned.

We will have to wait and see if the duo can get past this and ensure the Warriors are a dominating force for years to come.
