Charles Barkley does not believe in the Golden State Warriors. The NBA legend revealed one of his major worries about Golden State, and it's about the team's aging roster.

“The Warriors are the 4th best team in California in my opinion. Old people don't better, they just get older. I just don't like their team going forward,” Barkley said before tip-off of the 2023-24 NBA season opener between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets. “The Lakers, Kings and the Clippers are all better than the Warriors.”

The Warriors have six players 30 years old or older, and that includes their biggest acquisition in the offseason in the form of future Hall of Famer Chris Paul. But at 38 years old, Paul is still capable of providing meaningful contributions to the Warriors. Thanks to Paul's arrival in the Bay Area, Stephen Curry is not the oldest player on the Warriors roster, but at 35 years old, the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player is no spring chicken anymore.

Meanwhile, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green are both 33, while Cory Joseph and Gary Payton II are 32 and 30, respectively.

Barkley can highlight the Warriors' age all day, but it's hard to deny that Golden State remains a chief contender for an NBA title.

For what it's worth, Golden State added some youth over the offseason, as they selected Trayce Jackson-Davis from Indiana and Brandin Podziemski out of Santa Clara in the 2023 NBA Draft.

The Warriors open their season Tuesday night at home versus Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns.
