The Golden State Warriors have a gem on their hands in Jordan Poole. The third-year guard out of Michigan is playing out of his mind in the postseason, which has garnered the respect of at least one All-NBA player.

Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard has been spectating the games from the comfort of his own home as he sits out his first postseason since his rookie season way back in 2013. But he's shown that he's paying attention to the playoff action, recently weighing in on the Timberwolves-Grizzlies series that serves as a precursor the the current Warriors-Grizzlies matchup.

It's clear that Jordan Poole has also caught his eye. The Blazers star quote tweeted his business partner Nate Jones who dropped a bold take on the Warriors guard – that he's worthy of a max deal.

Declaring that Jordan Poole should get 25% of the salary cap means that he's worthy of the maximum financial commitment that Golden State can offer him. It's hard to argue against that at this point, especially after his team-leading 31 points in a win over the Grizzlies in Game 1.

The only complication is that the Warriors have a rather hefty salary cap number at present, with huge deals for Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Andrew Wiggins.

But given that Jordan Poole represents the future in Golden State, it's a safe bet Joe Lacob, Bob Myers and the rest of the Warriors front office will find a way to give him the contract extension he deserves.
