With the Golden State Warriors dealing with a number of injuries to their key players, they can’t wait to have them all back once they recover completely. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are currently out while Draymond Green had just missed a game, leaving head coach Steve Kerr’s rotation very thin, and making it a tall order for them to catch the Houston Rockets for the top spot in the Western Conference.

The good news, though, is that they will receive a boost in their frontcourt, with David West expected to return to action on Friday when the Warriors take on the Sacramento Kings inside Oracle Arena.

The veteran big man has missed the team’s last four games as there was a cyst found on his arm. However, he has already been cleared by the Warriors' doctors, which will give them more options in their power forward rotation. West is expected to play the same amount of minutes he’s been accustomed to receiving from the coaching staff.

West continues to play a big role for the defending champions despite coming off the bench. He is an integral part of their rotation and gives them a lot of toughness. More importantly, he compliments the games of their stars, which allows the Warriors to dominate during games and continue the success they’ve had the past three years.

Once he returns to action, there is also a chance he could see some extra minutes, depending on matchups, to help fill the void left by his injured teammates.
