As it was reported that LeBron James could listen to the Golden State Warriors during free agency if they’re able to create max salary cap room, there have been a lot of reactions given by fans, players and some media personalities. David West is now the latest to share his thoughts about the Cleveland Cavaliers star forward’s potential addition to the Dubs and he took a different route.

Instead of talking about what James can contribute to their cause should the rumors come into fruition, West instead gave a hilarious comment about it. Knowing that the former four-time MVP wears the number 23 jersey, he hilariously said that he will need to get it from Draymond Green if he indeed takes his talents to Oakland next summer.

That’s one way to put it especially with the potential partnership of James and the Warriors considered a long shot and purely speculation for now. There are a lot of factors that will come into play in James’ decision, and he may also think of his reputation, as a move to the Dubs could turn him to the most hated player in league history, especially in Northeast Ohio, if he leaves the Cavaliers again.

With still months to go before the start of free agency, teams are already starting to make moves in order to place them in the best position to go after some of the biggest names available. The Warriors may already have a very formidable lineup, but it’s also difficult to count them out in the LeBron James sweepstakes as the promise of championships, coupled with the guarantee of playing with four other stars in their prime could be enough to snag him. The jersey number may be the least of their worries for now, as positioning themselves and creating max contract space should be their first priority.
