SAN FRANCISCO – The Golden State Warriors finally have all their players at camp as Draymond Green made his practice debut. He was away from the team handling personal matters. Since it was his first day back, he spoke with the media, and as always, Green didn't hold back on answering any questions, even the ones about teammate Andrew Wiggins.

“We're dealing with something that's turned into a political war…I think you have to honor people's feelings and their own personal beliefs,” Green told ClutchPoints in the midst of a very complicated week for the Warriors.

The Warriors could be without their starting small forward for home games if he doesn't get the vaccine. He will miss out on a ton of money, which would be a massive loss for the team.

Wiggins has headlined all news coming from the Warriors camp. On media day, he was asked a bunch of questions about his vaccination status, and he declined to answer. Draymond Green believes privacy is important and said he wouldn't hassle or pressure Andrew Wiggins about getting the vaccination.

“Your choice on whether you were Democratic or Republican was private. I remember growing up and asking my grandma who did you vote for, and she would say, boy don't ask me who I voted for, are you crazy? I remember those days, and it's not so much like that anymore,” Green shared.

Training camp is coming to an end. The Warriors have the day off Friday and will have a final practice on Saturday.

Monday, the Warriors will face the Portland Trail Blazers in their first preseason game. The NBA regular season begins in its familiar mid-to-late October slot after the 2021 season started on Dec. 22 due to the pandemic. This season will have the normal 82 games after the 2021 season was shortened to 72 games to accommodate the Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
