The Golden State Warriors are scheduled to face the Chicago Bulls on Sunday and it remains to be seen if Draymond Green is able to make his season debut.

Ahead of Golden State's matchup with Chicago, Green provided an update on his status, per Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Draymond Green has missed the first two games of the Warriors this season due to an ailing foot injury. The veteran forward suffered the foot injury in one of the team's practices ahead of the season-opener versus the Brooklyn Nets.

Besides the foot injury he's dealing with, Green also missed the entirety of training camp due to COVID-19. Therefore, Green isn't in game-shape yet and would need some time to get back into the swing of things.

For what it's worth, Steve Kerr said before Golden State's game on Christmas Day that Green could miss the team's next two games against the Bulls and the Detroit Pistons.

In their first two outings, the Warriors have lost by a combined 65 points, with both games well out of hand to begin the fourth quarter. Stephen Curry has made it clear to his new teammates that they need to improve their chemistry moving forward.

The return of Green would definitely be welcomed by the Warriors given his ability to be another facilitator alongside Curry. Even if Green does get the green light from Kerr to return to the court on Sunday, he'd likely be on a minutes restriction due to his lack of conditioning right now.
