On the first night of a road back-to-back, the Golden State Warriors faced the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Warriors trailed most of the game and struggled offensively for three quarters, managing just 68 points.

That was until Stephen Curry happened.

At the beginning of the fourth quarter, the Warriors were down 81-68. Instead of taking his regular rest at the start of the final frame, Steve Kerr decided the best thing to do was to keep his MVP candidate on the floor. That's when the Curry effect took place, and Draymond Green had a front-row seat as the magic occurred.

“Tonight, he was incredible. The way he took the game over in that fourth quarter was amazing. … That's why he's the MVP of this league. That's why he's been the face of this franchise for years,” Green told ClutchPoints.

Despite dealing with a hip injury, Curry went absolutely bananas in the fourth quarter. He scored 20 points and led the charge to an incredible comeback victory. The Warriors scored 36 points in the final quarter and held the Cavs to just eight. The final score was 104-89, giving the Dubs another double-digit victory.

In Curry's postgame interview, he gave credit to his teammates for his fourth-quarter eruption. He mentioned two screens by Otto Porter Jr. that helped get him some clean looks and the team's smothering defense that completely shut down the Cavs' offense.

Friday, the Warriors will attempt to complete a sweep in their first road back-to-back of the season. They will face the No. 1 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft in Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons. The Warriors are a heavy favorite to win, but they might be without Curry because of his hip injury.
