When you think of the great trash talkers in the NBA today, Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green is definitely up on that list.

That's why he's quick to appreciate when another star gets in on the action, as we're witnessing with Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young. The 2019 ROY runner-up has quickly grown up, and was seen talking major trash at the Knicks after their Game 2 loss at Madison Square Garden, much to the delight of Warriors' Draymond Green:

Young was sending a message to the Knicks, but also their fans, who were unrelenting in their jeers against the Hawks star. The cheers were raucous the same way that Golden State's home arena would be rocking, a scene you wouldn't have expected prior to the season.

Draymond Green couldn't help but give props to Trae Young for standing up to the Knicks faithful, and even doubling down on his banter against their squad. The Warriors star is no stranger to drawing flak from rival fanbases, and clearly loved the energy Young exuded, particularly because it felt like his own.

Trae Young and the Hawks may have lost Game 2, but they head back to Atlanta after taking away home-court advantage from the Knicks. Despite subpar performances from his supporting cast, his team actually led the way for most of the game. With the result of the series still up in the air, the only thing for sure is that a certain Warriors icon will be watching him closely the rest of the way.
