The sports world went into a frenzy after Fox anchor Laura Ingraham criticized the Cleveland Cavaliers' LeBron James and the Golden State Warriors' Kevin Durant for expressing their views on President Donald Trump.

Undoubtedly, President Trump's election has caused quite a stir in the entire world, making conversations about his performance in all spectrum of the United States. Even sports personalities and players have spoken out against President Trump, and it hasn't well with some individuals.

Recently, Ingraham used the age-old maxim of telling James and Durant to just stick to sports.

“Must they run their mouths like that?” Ingraham asked, using a generalized pronoun that critics considered racist since James, Durant and Champion are all black. “Unfortunately, a lot of kids — and some adults — take these ignorant comments seriously. Look, there might be a cautionary lesson in LeBron for kids: This is what happens when you attempt to leave high school a year early to join the NBA. And it’s always unwise to seek political advice from someone who gets paid a hundred million dollars a year to bounce a ball. Oh, and LeBron and Kevin: You’re great players but no one voted for you. Millions elected Trump to be their coach. So keep the political commentary to yourself or, as someone once said, shut up and dribble.”

Many players across the NBA were angered with Ingraham's comments and expressed their own opinions about how players have the freedom to talk about politics if they choose. Warriors forward Draymond Green had a classic response to her criticisms on Twitter.

Ingraham's comments should be the talk of the NBA for a while, so this may not be the only social media response from an NBA player. One thing is for sure, NBA players are content with sharing their opinion regardless of whom is offended.
