Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is known for speaking his mind, no matter the repercussions. Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic, meanwhile, isn't one to take any slights sitting down.

That's why when Draymond Green sat down on his podcast with former Warriors player turned podcaster himself Matt Barnes and spoke of a confrontation with the Serbian star, the interaction was much more wholesome than you'd imagine.

“It was a whole segment,” said the Warriors star on his brief spells as an analyst. “I went at Jokic's defense. I'm like “If they're ever going to be a good team, he's the backline of the defense, he has to be good defensively”. I showed 4 clips… I was very critical of him.”

“He came up to me that following year, he said something along the lines of like “I saw what you said about my defense or something. ‘you're right' or ‘I appreciate it', something along those lines. He said I've gotten better… You 100% gotten better. I been watching you this year.”

The encounter also shows what a true MVP Nikola Jokic is, taking in the constructive criticism from the Warriors' former DPOY to build on his already-potent All-NBA offensive skill set to now become a plus defender on the other end.

While they probably won't be friendly with each other on the basketball court in any Warriors-Nuggets tilt, there's clearly mutual respect between the two All-Stars.
