It's safe to assume that Draymond Green wants to run it back with the Golden State Warriors. Most especially with the way they uncharacteristically crumbled in the play-in tournament to miss the NBA Playoffs for the second straight year.

Warriors general manager Bob Myers is reportedly keen on keeping Green. Warriors coach Steve Kerr does as well, despite his past spats with the cantankerous forward. In fact, according to Kendra Andrews of NBC Sports, Myers and Kerr had an entire 900-minute conversation about Green.

While Green has always been the heartbeat of the Warriors' defense, his lack of scoring versatility also doomed the squad this season. It became more evident during crucial games when he failed to make—or even take—a big shot. So for Myers, he believes one thing that Green really needs to work on moving forward is his outside shooting.

“We need it. He wants it. He's not going to shy away from that. I think he wants to feel confident in that regard. And so, yes, that ability to be a threat out there is important to us, and we're focused on it and so is he, and we think we can improve in that area.”

The 31-year-old Green only shot 27.0 percent from beyond the arc this season, his lowest since his rookie year. He also only averaged 7.0 points, his lowest since his sophomore year. Clearly, these aren't enough to get the Warriors back in contention.

The former Michigan State standout has also been a subject of trade rumors recently, particularly involving the Portland Trail Blazers. But it's clear the Warriors want Green back—terms and conditions apply.
