The Golden State Warriors might yet again be without another star as Draymond Green suffered a horrible thigh contusion on Wednesday night. The former DPOY had to leave the court halfway through the third quarter after Minnesota Timberwolves forward Jaden McDaniels' knee hit his right thigh which ultimately ruled him out of the game.

It was Green's knee that was initially alluded to but, according to Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, he believes that Green's knee was unbothered in the play and that it was a “nasty” thigh contusion that leaves his starting forward questionable for Friday night's game against the Chicago Bulls (via ESPN's Nick Friedell).

Here's the play where Green appeared to have injured himself (via Anthony Slater of The Athletic):

Fortunately, thigh contusions aren't serious injuries and the Warriors are hoping that their leader gets back on the floor rather quickly. It does make sense however if Kerr and the rest of the coaching staff decide to sit Green out this coming Friday against one of the top teams in the East this season.

Add to that, the Warriors were able to come up with yet another impressive home win despite Green's second-half absence as they continue to roll with the hottest record in the entire NBA. It was business as usual for Golden State's Stephen Curry who finished with 25 points while starting swingman Andrew Wiggins exploded against his former team with a team-high of 35 points, including two major posters on former teammate Karl-Anthony Towns.
