It's not really a shade, but it sounds like a shade. But whatever the case may be, Draymond Green was only spitting facts.

Golden State Warriors reporter Marcus Thompson, who has gotten close with Green, Stephen Curry, and Klay Thompson, throughout the years, said the former Defensive Player of the Year won't allow Kevin Durant to go off easily in Game 5.

And of course, being the biggest Draymond Green stan, Draymond Green totally agreed.

Durant was absolutely a house on fire against the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday. He finished with 49 points on a crazy efficient 16-of-23 marksmanship, leading the Brooklyn Nets to a come-from-behind victory and take a 3-2 lead in the second round series.

As Green pointed out, he would've taken the assignment to guard Durant, especially when he was already tossing fireballs from everywhere. It could be a subtle shade at Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo, who didn't cover KD during the crucial stretches of the game, leaving an undersized PJ Tucker to shackle the Nets' alpha dog. Which he failed to do, obviously.

Durant also made his presence felt in other facets of the contest, grabbing 17 rebounds and dishing out 10 assists, totally outplaying Giannis.

It's hard to argue with Green, who is mostly known for his defensive prowess and yes, bold self-confidence. After all, he has taken on the likes of LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, and James Harden in past encounters in the NBA Playoffs. He knows Durant pretty well too.

Draymond Green was recently named to his fourth All-Defensive First Team. So there's that part as well.
