It's great to win the gold medal in the Olympics. For one, you get all the attention. In Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green's case, he got a call from the GOAT — Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback and future Hall of Famer Tom Brady — after helping Team USA defeat France, 87-82, in the gold medal game in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics men's basketball tournament.

Green was instrumental in Team USA's completion of its mission to win the gold medal even though he averaged just 4.8 points per game in the tournament. He even went scoreless against France, but he assisted on five Team USA buckets and recorded a pair of steals in 16 minutes of action off the bench. Just like in the NBA with the Warriors, Green's value on his team can't just be summed up by the number of points he put up. At the end of the day, Green will be a net-positive player for the Warriors.

Between Green and Brady, there are three NBA championships and seven Super Bowl rings. Brady is still the bigger winner between the two, but one thing Green has over Brady is the two Olympics gold medals he won with Team USA. Brady can desire to have one, but American football has a long way to go before it becomes part of the Olympics.
