The Golden State Warriors are certainly in unfamiliar territory this year, accumulating the most losses under Steve Kerr's wing just almost three months into the 2019-20 NBA regular season campaign, per The Athletic's Anthony Slater.

After losing just a combined 88 regular-season games over the last five seasons, the injury-plagued Warriors team have already lost 26 of their first 35 games this year.

After six years as an executive for the Phoenix Suns from 2004-10, Steve Kerr inherited the Dubs head coaching reins from fellow former NBA point guard Mark Jackson in 2014. Led by the core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, the Dubs finished the regular season with a 67-15 slate en route to the Larry O'Brien trophy in Kerr's first stint.

The team peaked the following year losing just nine games over the course of an 82-game season, and breaking the Chicago Bulls All-Time record by winning 73 regular-season games. Their stellar run, however, was undermined by their inability to win the title that year, succumbing to the Cleveland Cavaliers in seven games.

The Warriors went on to win two more titles after signing Kevin Durant, before last year's crushing Finals defeat to the Toronto Raptors put an end to their dynasty.

The team's two best players Curry and Thompson are still out nursing severe injuries. There's really no point in bringing them back this season as the Warriors will likely miss out on the postseason for the first time in quite a long time.

The team's recent four-game winning streak remains as their lone highlight of the season so far, as they managed to overtake the New York Knicks and Atlanta Hawks in the league standings.
