The Golden State Warriors are the overwhelming favorites to win another championship this season and Kevin Durant is one of the biggest reasons why. Former Warrior great, Tim Hardaway believes that the Warriors will have a chance to win for the next three years as well if they can manage to keep Durant. Hardaway spoke with Amulya Shekhar of Sports Keeda about the future for Golden State.

Q: In the next 3 years, how many titles do you think the Warriors are going to win?

Tim Hardaway Sr: If Kevin Durant stays, they can win all 3. They're gonna win this year. Then if they can keep him for 2-3 years, with Steph, they'll be favoured to win the 2 after that.

Q: So it all depends on Durant?

Tim Hardaway Sr: Yeah, it's all on Kevin Durant. Without KD, I don't think they can win it, and they know that.

Hardaway isn't wrong about the Warriors' hopes resting largely on Durant's free-agent decision, but he is wrong about whether or not the Warriors can win without Durant. They already won a championship and advanced to an NBA Finals without KD.

If the Warriors lose Durant but keep Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, they'll definitely be in contention for another title. Durant may be the best player on the Warriors, but Curry is still the straw that stirs the drink.

The future in Golden State is up in the air, but even in a worst-case scenario, the Warriors will be a championship contender.
