Potential Top-10 pick Franz Wagner believes Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and the Golden State Warriors will benefit by selecting him in the 2021 NBA Draft.

According to Wagner, the Warriors could really use his “versatility” around the great shooting of the Splash Bros.

“I would fit in really well [with the Warriors], obviously they have two great shooters next year again and probably the best point guard in the game,” Wagner said, per NBC Sports. “I think what they need, I think my versatility can help that team a lot. I think being able to defend multiple positions and also shoot the three well, I think is what’s going to help me stay on the floor or get on the court. I think I can read the game well and can play a free game, that’s what I would call it, and I think Golden State plays that very much.”

Franz Wagner averaged 12.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals in his two seasons with the Michigan Wolverines, so he's not lying when he said his versatility can make an impact. Standing at 6-foot-9 and weighing 220 pounds, he possesses the necessary tools to be an elite wing in the NBA.

For what it's worth, recent mock drafts strongly predict that the German swingman would land on the Warriors come Thursday night. After all, he seems to be a great fit into Steve Kerr's smallball system.

However, some rumors suggest that the Dubs are also considering the likes of Josh Giddey  and Jonathan Kuminga for their No. 7 pick.

It's unknown what the Warriors will do with their pick since there is also the possibility they trade it for a veteran or role player who can help them immediately contend for the title. With that said, the 2021 NBA Draft could be a pretty busy one for Golden State.
