The Golden State Warriors have the 7th and 14th picks in the 2021 NBA Draft, and it looks like their plan is to improve depth behind Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson should they retain the picks.

According to Connor Letourneau of San Francisco Chronicle, the Warriors are considering Josh Giddey for the 7th pick in the draft. The Dubs were reportedly impressed by Giddey's poise during his appearance for Australia in their pre-Olympic showdown against Nigeria. The 18-year-old posted 14 points, four rebounds and three assists in the exhibition win, showing not only his elite passing ability but also his much improved jumper.

Aside from Giddey, though, Connecticut guard James Bouknight is also in consideration at No. 7 for the Warriors. A highly rated prospect, Bouknight could be drafted earlier before Golden State makes their pick; however, if he is still not selected by the time Golden State is on the clock, he could be an intriguing prospect.

Bouknight averaged 18.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.1 steals in 15 games for Connecticut in the 2020-21 season.

While both players would be solid picks by the Warriors, it is still unknown if the team will end up using their picks.

Recently, general manager Bob Myers hinted that they are keeping their options open heading to the draft. This means there is still a possibility they could trade both of their lottery picks in exchange for a starting-caliber player who can immediately contribute and make an impact to the team's championship aspirations.

The 2021 NBA Draft is certainly brewing to be a busy one for the Dubs.
