The Golden State Warriors have honored franchise legend Al Attles by naming their newly inaugurated practice court at the Chase Center after him. This report is via Monte Poole of NBC Sports:

The Warriors unveiled another component of Chase Center on Tuesday, this one their practice court.

Which officially shall be known as “Alvin Attles Court.”

Attles has been with the Warriors for six decades now, as he has stuck with the franchise ever since he was selected by the Philadelphia Warriors in the 1960 NBA Draft. At 6-feet flat, Attles played as a point guard, and averaged 8.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in 11 seasons with the Warriors franchise.

He served as a player coach for the team in the final four years of his playing career, with the last two as the team's head coach. Attles would lead the Warriors to their first NBA title in the Golden State era in 1975.

After his stint as the team's head coach, Attles would then join the front office, where at one point, he would be names as the team's general manager.

Just recently, Attles was inducted into the James Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame for his invaluable contribution to the sport over the past 60 years. The 82-year-old is part of the 2019 Hall of Fame class.

This man is as loyal as it comes for the Warriors, and it's only fitting that the organization recognizes all that he has done for the franchise by giving him one of the most prestigious honors.
