Early on Monday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers, the Golden State Warriors lost DeMarcus Cousins to a scary non-contact injury. The initial reports were not promising, and then on Tuesday, it was confirmed that the big man suffered a torn left quad and will be out indefinitely.

That’s awful news in general, though if any team can survive the loss of an All-Star, it’s the defending champions.

After Boogie’s injury occurred, the Warriors were sitting pretty and galloped out to a 31-point lead in the game against the Clippers. However, that reverie would soon end, as the Clips produced a furious comeback and erased the deficit – coming all the way back to defeat the Warriors 135-131.

Though most of the jokes on NBA Twitter were all about the Warriors collapsing in record fashion — with many references to the team being up 3-1 in the 2016 NBA Finals after they’d won 73 games in the regular season — one Golden State hater from Houston laughed at Cousins’s injury.

Laughing at an injury is always taking it too far, and so the joke from the random hater didn't sit well with a Warriors fan. The Dubs supporter responded rather harshly and even bought a plane ticket to Houston to fight the Twitter user who insulted Boogie after he was injured.

It might seem like an overreaction, but that person’s fandom cannot be refuted if he’s willing to spend $500 just to fight someone who insults his team.
