The Rockets have jumped to stellar prominence with the addition of perennial All-Star point guard Chris Paul this offseason, making them a must-watch team in the Western Conference.
The Warriors, who have won the title in two of the last three seasons, will start the season with a legitimate challenge and one that can threaten a race for first place in the conference with a newly-bolstered lineup.
Golden State notably suffered a 29-point defeat to the San Antonio Spurs last season after acquiring Kevin Durant in free agency, tipping off the season with a shaky start.
Houston finished third in the West last season, ultimately falling to the Spurs in the Western Conference semifinals — leaving the front office no choice but to reload with much bigger weapons at hand. Harden and Paul have already started demonstrating some chemistry together as part of the Drew League.
Both of these teams will draw first blood immediately after the end of the first game, with the game set to tip off at 10:30 p.m. PT.
