San Francisco, CA – The Golden State Warriors are off to a 10-1 start in the 2021-22 NBA season. The spectacular beginning has been done without two key members Klay Thompson and James Wiseman. Both are nearing a return, but Wiseman should be able to join the team first. Wiseman can practice with the squad, but Steve Kerr and the Dubs are taking things slow.

“We’ve been purposely deliberate the last couple of months and just slowly ramping things up. He’s (Wiseman) moving well and engaged in a lot of drill work in practice and doing 5-0 stuff. He’s getting a lot of work in, and he’s feeling good,' Kerr told ClutchPoints.

Kerr informed the media that James Wiseman and Klay Thompson would not travel with the Warriors in their upcoming four-game road trip. Wiseman could potentially do some scrimmaging in Santa Cruz with their G-League affiliate team. The team will keep a close eye on the big man, and his progress could mean a return to action very soon.

In Wiseman's rookie season, he averaged 11.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 0.9 blocks. The knowledge he has gained after a year of being in the NBA will help him improve on these numbers when he gets back with the team. Getting a chance to play with a fully equipped roster will be a significant aid as well.

The Warriors got their 10th victory of the year against Minnesota Timberwolves. Andrew Wiggins energized the Dubs as he faced his former team, exploding for 35 points. Stephen Curry, meanwhile, finished with 25 points, five boards and six dimes.
