The Golden State Warriors won over the Utah Jazz, 124-123, thanks to a game-winning tip-in from Jonas Jerebko.

The Warriors managed to get the ball to Kevin Durant, their best option, near the corner and the back-to-back Finals MVP worked his way for a good look near the free-throw line. The ball did not go in but, fortunately for Golden State, Jerebko kept on fighting and his eventual tip-in broke the hearts of fans in Salt Lake City.

The Warriors had to claw their way back into the game after the Jazz came out of the gates scorching. Utah has played like a house on fire as of late, which is uncharacteristic of the defensive-minded team. Six players scored in double figures for the Jazz led by Joe Ingles who notched 27 markers.

On the other hand, the Warriors were led by their MVP tandem of Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry, who scored 38 and 31 points, respectively.

For his part, Jonas Jerebko registered 10 points, six rebounds, and a couple of 3-pointers against his former Jazz team. The popular belief is that players go on the court with an added edge against their former teams. That could very well be the reason for Jerebko's determination down to the final fraction of a second.
