Golden State Warriors All-Star Kevin Durant has racked up several technical fouls through the early stages of the postseason. In fact, he picked up his third tech of the first round in Thursday night's 132-105 victory over the LA Clippers.

If Durant continues down this path, he could be forced to the sidelines in coming games. NBA players can receive six technical fouls in the playoffs before a seventh triggers a one-game suspension.

Durant's third tech of this series came during the third quarter of Game 3, when he and JaMychal Green were whistled for an on-court verbal dispute. Green set a hard pick at the top of the arc, which sent Durant to the floor. Green was called for an illegal screen on the play, but Durant still had a few words for him. After a bit of jawing back and forth, both players were given a T:

Though he picked up a third tech, Durant had an impressive game. In 30 minutes of action, the former Texas Longhorn racked up 38 points on 14-of-23 shooting from the field (3-of-10 from beyond the arc), seven assists, four rebounds, one block and one steal. Green, on the other hand, scored 15 points, five rebounds and one assist:

The Warriors started Game 3 with a 22-9 run and went on to shoot 73% from the floor in the first quarter. Durant was hot, making all five of his field goals and both free throws for 12 points:

“He came out super-aggressive, in kill mode,” Draymond Green told ESPN during his postgame media availability, referring to Durant. “That was all the difference for us. We took control of the game right there in the first quarter and never lost control of it.”

The Warriors and Clippers will meet for Game 4 on Sunday afternoon. Tip-off inside Staples Center is set for 3:30 p.m. ET, with ABC having live broadcast coverage. Golden State holds a 2-1 lead in the series.
