Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant has been upgraded to questionable for Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors:

Durant finally went through a practice on Sunday after initially suffering a strained right calf in Game 5 of the second-round series against the Houston Rockets. While it didn't seem like Durant did all that much at the practice, he clearly has progressed enough to have a shot at playing in Monday night's Game 5, though this status upgrade doesn't guarantee he's going to suit up and play.

There was some hope Durant would return earlier in the NBA Finals, but he has remained out, potentially until Monday. Durant's extended absence has reportedly caused some frustration within the organization, but his Warriors teammates have been vocally supportive of him when asked about the situation.

Durant was having an incredible postseason before suffering his calf injury, and the Warriors could use a miracle out of him if he returns for Game 5. Golden State is down 3-1 and has struggled on both ends of the floor against a rolling Raptors squad.

While Durant's presence would be a boon for the Warriors, it's asking a lot of him to come off this injury and be the hero they need immediately. A team effort will still be required to pull off this comeback.
